🧀 Be Kind Cheese Straws Recipe 🧀

Ingredients:
• 2 cups (250 g) all-purpose flour
• 1 tsp baking powder
• ½ tsp salt
• ½ tsp paprika (optional, for flavor)
• ½ tsp garlic powder (optional)
• ½ cup (115 g) cold unsalted butter, cubed
• 2 cups (200 g) sharp cheddar cheese, grated
• 1 large egg
• 2–3 tbsp cold water

Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, paprika, and garlic powder.
3. Add the cold butter and rub it into the flour until the mixture looks like breadcrumbs.
4. Mix in the grated cheddar cheese.
5. Add the egg and just enough cold water to form a soft but not sticky dough.
6. Roll the dough on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle about ¼ inch (0.5 cm) thick.
7. Cut into long strips (about ½ inch wide). Twist each strip gently for a fun shape.
8. Place on the baking sheet and bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden and crispy.
9. Let cool slightly and enjoy warm or at room temperature.
