Chicken is a staple at my home, and my kids love chicken more than anything! Thus, my everyday struggle to prepare chicken creatively. Thank goodness I stumbled upon this yet another excellent chicken recipe. A five-ingredient chicken parmesan casserole that is a breeze to make and comes out great always! Cheesy, hearty, creamy, and super delicious. My kids new favourite, so good they are asking for it over and over again! A family-friendly meal, economic, not fussy, not to mention healthy – all these are big points for me. This dish is surely a must-try and a perfect addition to my chicken recipe collection.

Ingredients

2 cups rotini pasta

1 (12 oz) can chicken chunks, drained

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

2 cups marinara sauce

½ cup seasoned bread crumbs

HOW TO MAKE CHICKEN PARMESAN CASSEROLE

Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.

Step 2: Bring to a boil a large pot with salted water over high heat. Add and cook the rotini for about 8 minutes or until al dente. Drain in cold water and set aside.

Step 3: In a large casserole dish, combine the chicken, rotini, and mozzarella cheese until incorporated.

Step 4: Add and evenly spread the marinara sauce and bread crumbs on top. Use a foil to cover the dish.

Step 5: Place inside the preheated oven and bake for about 35 minutes or until the cheese has melted.

Step 6: Allow cooling the casserole on a wire rack at room temperature.

Notes:

To make the chicken easier to cook, slice them into little pieces.

For a healthy alternative, use whole wheat pasta or whole grain.

Or leave the chicken and put vegetables instead.
