Ingredients

2 pounds boneless pork chops

½ teaspoon paprika

¼ cup butter, divided

1 (8 ounces) package sliced fresh mushrooms

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

2 cups beef broth

HOW TO MAKE PORK CHOPS IN GARLIC MUSHROOM SAUCE

Step 1: Clean and pat dry the pork chops and place them on a clean plate.

Step 2: Season each side with salt, pepper, and paprika.

Step 3: Melt around 2 tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Step 4: Sear the seasoned pork chops for about 2 to 3 minutes per side or until the middle is no longer pink and the sides are golden brown.

Step 5: Once done, transfer the cooked pork chops to a clean plate. Set aside.

Step 6: In the same skillet, melt the remaining butter. Stir in the mushrooms and cook for about 5 minutes or until all the liquid has disappeared and turned golden. Stir in the chopped garlic, then, mustard and continue to cook for a minute or until the garlic is aromatic. Make sure to not overcook.

Step 7: Stir in the flour until fully dissolved. And gently pour in the beef broth and whisk until incorporated.

Step 8: To taste, season with salt and pepper.

Step 9: Adjust the heat to medium and simmer for about 5 minutes, occasionally stirring, until the sauce has thickened. If needed, add more seasoning.

Step 10: Place the pork chops back into the skillet and continue to cook for another minute.

Step 11: Once done, remove from the skillet and serve. Enjoy!

Notes:

For this recipe, you can use either pork tenderloin or pork chops with bone.

In place of beef broth, use chicken or vegetable broth instead.
