SHRIMP AND MUSHROOM LINGUINI WITH CREAMY CHEESE HERB SAUCE

This heavenly dish is very satisfying. From the mushroom sauce to the shrimp, and the linguini. Everything in this dish is extremely flavorful! For an extra kick, try adding chili. I have tried it before and it takes this dish to the next level! I know that this will make you smile today. Enjoy!

Ingredients:

1 (8 ounces) package linguini pasta

2 tablespoons butter

½ pound fresh mushrooms, sliced

½ cup butter

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 (3 ounces) package cream cheese

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

¾ teaspoon dried basil

⅔ cup boiling water

½ pound cooked shrimp

Directions:

Step 1: Place a large pot on the stove and turn the heat to high.

Step 2: Pour in salted water and bring it to a boil.

Step 3: Add in the linguini and cook for 7 minutes or until al dente’. Drain the water and rinse with cold running water to stop the cooking process.

Step 4: Place a large skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high.

Step 5: Add in 2 tablespoons of butter and allow it to melt.

Step 6: Add the mushrooms and cook until tender. Place the cooked mushrooms on a clean plate.

Step 7: In the same skillet, add in 1/2 cup butter and allow it to melt.

Step 8: Add in the minced garlic and sauté until aromatic. Add in the cream cheese and stir until melted. Add in basil and parsley. Simmer for 5 minutes or until the sauce becomes smooth.

Step 9: Add in the cooked mushrooms and shrimp. Allow it to heat through.

Step 10: Add in the linguini and toss until completely coated with the sauce.

Step 11: Serve and enjoy!
