Prep: 15 mins | Cook: 30 mins | Total: 45 mins | Servings: 10 | Yield: 10 servings

As greasy as this dish may, it is worth it! I promise you. We all need greasy meals from time to time to satisfy our inner selves, right? What better way to satisfy our cravings for greasy food but bacon! We all love bacon, who doesn’t? To top the dish off, it has mushrooms and cabbage! Oh, yes! Every bite of this luscious meal is incredible! I love how everything compliments well with each other. This dish is already perfect but feels free to add more ingredients if you wish. Give it your take and twist. By the way, I usually eat this as is, but I think eating it with steamed rice would be awesome as well. Enjoy!

Ingredients:

1-pound bacon

1 large head cabbage, chopped

1 large onion, chopped

1 (8 ounces) package sliced fresh mushrooms

salt and ground black pepper to taste

Directions:

Step 1: Place a large skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high.

Step 2: Add the bacon and cook for 10 minutes or until greasy and the colour turns brown.

Step 3: Place the cooked bacon on a clean plate lined with paper towels. Drain the excess grease.

Step 4: Discard the bacon grease from the skillet and leave about 3 tablespoons.

Step 5: Add in the onion, mushrooms, and cabbage into the skillet. Stir and cook for about 20 minutes or until brown and tender.

Step 6: Add in the crumbled bacon. Stir and cook until hot.

Step 7: Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Step 8: Remove from the heat.

Step 9: Serve and enjoy!
